Welcome to Self-Transformative Energy Tools!
I am so excited to welcome you to the Self-Transformative Energy Tools program. It contains two courses that will show you the remarkable power of energy to heal and transform your life.
In the first course, “The Genetics of Personal Transformation,” you will learn the science behind 12 practices proven to regulate your genes and boost your mood. In the second, “The Practice of Energy Psychology and EFT” you’ll enjoy an immersive multimedia experience as I guide you through all 48 Clinical EFT techniques.
The Self-Transformative Energy Tools program is your best introduction to this exciting new field. Not only does it cover the science that underlies energy healing, it also gives you an introduction to these 12 evidence-based techniques ranging from Qigong to Earthing.
You deserve to live a high-energy and vibrant life. The breakthroughs found in energy healing can heal the stuck places in your life, clearing the way for transformation.
These two courses that make up Self-Transformative Energy Tools are the first two modules of the Ultimate EFT Certification program. If you decide after completing the program to proceed on to certification, the work you’ve done here counts toward your training.
The knowledge and information you gain in this program distills the wisdom of thousands of practitioners over decades of clinical practice. Please read this Quick Start Guide now and become familiar with it, since it contains the essence of what you’ll need to navigate the program quickly and easily.
Quick Start Guide
Navigating Lessons
You’ll notice that the course materials are presented in a state-of-the-art online learning system, like top college courses. Each module of the course is called a “Lesson” in the learning system. Each chapter is called a “Topic.”
Each time you complete a Topic, the next Topic automatically opens for you. Once you’ve completed all the Topics in a Lesson, the next Lesson is automatically available.
Many Topics have a mini-quiz at the end. Once you complete the mini-quiz, you’re automatically complete with that Topic. Some Topics don’t have a mini-quiz, you simply mark the page “Complete” up top once you’ve read the material.
On the navigation bar, you’ll find links to each Lesson. Each Lesson has a chapter from one of the books on which the Self-Transformative Energy Tools program is based, and most also contain a short 10-30 minute video.
Completing the videos and reading for Topics 1 and 2 will take you about 90 minutes and I recommend you do this soon. If possible, watch the first video immediately after reading this Quick Start Guide.
In many of the Topics, I train you in one or more new skills. Practice those skills in your daily life as often as you can, because these apply the techniques to your personal transformation.
I’ll also send you an email every few days pointing out features of the course that you might find especially helpful.
If you don’t see emails from WordPress@efttraining.org in your inbox, check your Spam folder. Drag one of them into your inbox, and your email program is likely to understand that I’m at trusted contact.
Time Frame
I urge you to commit to your success and the success of those you serve by scheduling adequate time to complete the Self-Transformative Energy Tools program. It will take you 20-40 hours total.
You’ll need several blocks of time to do this. It will take you less than an hour to read each module and take the quiz at the end.
Experience has shown that participants are most successful when they schedule these study periods at the very start of the course. So please pick a time right now. It might be every Tuesday night after you’ve put the kids to bed. It might be every Saturday morning for the next couple of weeks. It might be every Sunday evening after the activities of the weekend are past.
Whatever time fits best with your personal schedule, go to your calendar now and write it down. Enter enough time to complete all the Topics and the final exams. Even if you have to skip one or two scheduled sessions as “life happens,” having them on your schedule signals your commitment to unlocking the full benefit of this course.
Bookmark the Log In Page
Please bookmark the home page where you log in. Keep a record of your password and username. You need to log in to get access to the course, and it’s annoying to be unable to log in because you’ve lost your password or username. Adjust your browser settings so that they autofill your username and password on the log in page.
If you have more than one email address, also write down the address you used to register for the course. Obviously the system will not recognize you if you try and log in using a different email address.
Always log in first. If you click on a saved, cached, or bookmarked page without logging in, you will receive an error message, so always log in first.
If you run into problems, such as getting an audio or video to play, or a lost password, you can find the solutions on our “Help“ page, including customer service.
Your Learning Style
Topics contain material in a variety of formats: video, audio, and written PDFs. The reason for the variety of formats is that people have different learning styles. Some are primarily visual learners and prefer video. Others are auditory learners and prefer audios.
You can download any of the audios onto your mobile device, and listen to them at any time. You cannot download the videos, but you can download the audios. If you want to watch a video on your mobile device, simply log onto the web site and watch it that way.
The audios are the sound track from the videos. They do not contain any information that is not already part of the video, so you get the same information whether you watch only the video or listen only to the audio. There is no need to do both.
During the course, your experience will be enriched if you interact with faculty and other participants. Please join the Facebook group here. Post your insights, share your epiphanies, and be inspired by the wonderful people in our supportive community.
The Mini-Quizzes and the Final Test
There is a comprehensive exam at the end of each of the two Lessons in the course. Each mini-quiz contains 5 – 10 questions drawn from the final exam. The mini-quizzes prepare you for the final test. They may even contain some of the questions you’ll encounter on the final test, but because the questions rotate through a large pool of questions, you won’t get the same ones every time you take the test.
The mini-quizzes are based on the written PDFs only. They do not contain any questions drawn from the videos or audios, which are intended as supplementary material. You can pass the mini-quiz or the final test if you just read the PDFs and do not watch the videos.
It is possible to complete the course along with the final test without watching any of the videos or listening to any of the audios and this is the way you might want to do it if you are a verbal learner.
If you’re a visual or auditory learner, you’re going to find those media useful, but make sure you read the PDFs at least one time because they’re the basis for the mini-quizzes and the final test.
The mini-quizzes and final test are open book exams. I recommend you have the Topics in front of you on the screen, or printed out, when you’re completing the exams. The purpose of each of the exam questions is not to confuse or baffle you, but instead to remind you of what you’ve learned.
For questions you don’t answer correctly, you don’t get the answers. Instead, you get advice on which part of the course to go back and study. The purpose of this is to make sure you understand all the material in each Topic, not just a particular question you answered incorrectly.
If you don’t pass a mini-quiz or the final test at first, read the material again, then take the exam again. You can take each one up to 10 times, but experience shows that practitioners who read the course materials usually pass on the first or second try.
Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
You’re “standing on the shoulders of giants,” at the pinnacle of a long lineage of human beings who have used energy for healing. As you’ll discover in the first Topics, that lineage begins in prehistoric times; the earliest evidence for energy healing comes from Europe and dates back over 5,000 years.
In the past century energy healing has become established as a scientific practice; on the site of the nonprofit National Institute for Integrative Healthcare of which I am executive director, we maintain a database of studies published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals. Currently it lists over 600 studies. A separate database of EFT studies lists over 100. This work rests on a sound scientific basis.
I celebrate the journey we’re on together, and the difference you will make within your own body and mind, as well as the healing you’ll bring to other people, in the days and months ahead!
Thank you for joining me here!
